So I ordered a Premium AWD last August and was one of the ones that had my order get rolled over into a 2022. By October I had given up/grown impatient and hunted down a GT that was available then. I've come to find out it doesn't have all the bells and whistles my premium would have, but it's a GT.

Here's the conundrum- I never gave up my reservation and my premium has been built and is on it's way to me now and should arrive here mid-April. I'm so torn as to what to do. I love my GT, and I'm not sure the bells and whistles are worth it. Namely blue cruise, the parking assistant module, and the sunroof.
I got a smokin' deal on my interest rate for the GT and I know interest rates have gone up since then so there's no way I'd be able to get that interest rate again. However, the premium is less expensive in general and I know I can recoup most of my costs.

The other problem is- and there's no way to judge this as there are no other mach e's in my area for sale at the moment, how does a premium drive compared to the GT. Can anyone compare that for me who has experience? The one I test drove way back when was a RWD so it wasn't even in the same fruit basket. My dad just got his ID.4 AWD and I drove it and figured it was a relatively close comparison. yes, it didn't throw you back in your seat like the GT does or make you giggle like a schoolgirl, but again, it's a VW, not a mustang...

Maybe someone that went the other way can compare for me. I'm so torn! Also- the GT is grabber blue and the Premium would be red. do i want to be a target for the cops... ?

You need to know that you get can all the promotions that existed last August when you ordered. I ordered at the end of May. Ford Options was 2.25% for the Premium, but Ford was also offering 0.9% financing for 36 or 48 months. That's still locked in.

While I've been driving an exact duplicate of my car since July 2nd, I plan on taking the new one (possibly coming in when yours does) and selling the old one.

Are you going to sell private party or trade in? I'm leery of my dealer. I can see them attempting to screw me over by adding a bunch of stuff I don't want to justify a markup, like a ceramic coat and other stuff like that. The one I test drove they had done that to.
I don't think I got any sort of Ford financing when I purchased in October, as it was through an outside bank but it was a bank they found. I'm scared of going private party and having 2 car loans. I don't want to commit to a sale beforehand either b/c of the weird feeling I get from my dealer.

I will be selling privately, and of course pricing it with Carvana and others. I will post it on this forum once I have confirmation that my 2022 is arriving, and won't be completing the sale until the 2022 is signed for.

I did something very similar: ordered a Premium but found a GT and decided to get the GT since the Premium I ordered was taking so long. But also because I decided I wanted the GT instead.

Like yours my GT has no options and the only one I miss is the 360 view camera. I would absolutely hate the BC nanny yelling at me to watch the road, and I think the metal roof is more energy efficient especially in the winter.

According to what I have read here in the forum, the GT has a firmer ride with less bounce than the Premium.
