Inorite. Maybe I'll just keep IB order and wrap with a custom color in the future. Best of both worlds?
I've never wrapped a car, but I do kind of like the idea. You could choose a totally unique color or design. Virtually unlimited possibilities.

I reserved a rapid red, but I can't help but second guess myself. I think it's just my nature. I'm sure I'll love it when I bring it home.

Unfortunately you are probably right about Naperville.

But, I'm hoping that having two Grabber Blue, plus others if customer cancelations keep occurring, plus pandemic and economy might make them think about selling at MSRP.

But that's probably all wishful thinking on my part.
I found a cancellation with no ADM, but I traveled to get it. You may have to do the same.

I saw it for the first time yesterday, and I don't think you'll be disappointed. ?

This is all really good advice!

Generally, I really like the differences in the FE over the Premium: contrast stitching, colored mirrors, black ceiling, etc. I prefer the black interior, so no issue there.

I actually don't care about it being a "first edition" so I'm not going for that. It's really just the color!

Part of me feels like I have been too boring with car colors in the past and so getting a MME is an opportunity for something different. But is that being impractical? I dunno.

Also, increased cost of FE over Premium isn't a huge issue for me. A dealer adding significant ADM on top of MSRP would be though. So this may hinge on finding an FE without it.
I'm like you on car colors - I cycle through and I've done them all. I actually liked the Infinite Blue though, and I didn't care for Grabber Blue. It's nice, but it's too "candy color" for my taste. I'd have liked some of the FE accents, such as the contrasting stitching, and some of the accents from the GT, such as the copper trim and the lighted pony, but alas, you can't have it all.

To your very last point - Join Mustang Club of America ASAP. There's no reason to be paying more than X-Plan pricing. Or, you can try to find a friend who works for Ford and would be willing to share a Friends and Family (I think that's the name of it) X-Plan PIN with you. Ford employees are given a small number of PINs to share each year. It's a win-win.

Any dealer who doesn't do X-Plan is an idiot. Ford is careful to carve out certain cars and trucks (Ford GT, I think Raptor, etc.) so the dealers can make the high markup on those very limited, high-demand vehicles. On all other vehicles, the dealers are still making out - they're definitely not taking a loss on any X-Plan sale. They just don't get a chance to go for a little extra (which in this day and age is very rare anyway). X-Plan offers dealers an opportunity to build goodwill and a long-term, low-stress relationships with customers.

You will.

I do.

And I typically have remorse over a high number of buying decisions.

So yeah, dealer got back to me and said they're not doing plan pricing and they're asking $10000 above MSRP.

So I guess I'll keep looking and the backup plan is to just get the IB Premium and wrap it at some future date (maybe).

So someone let me know if they're declining a Blue Grabber FE or see one for sale somewhere, I'd appreciate it!

Don't know if you're still looking but there are dealers offering FE's at MSRP. That's how I got my car. It was 300 miles away but worth it to me to get it. Also, after I got mine (rapid red), one of the dealerships I had contacted, called me and had a grabber blue at MSRP. BTW, I saw an infinite blue in person and thought it was a beautiful car.

Awesome car!!

I actually did end up finding an FE Grabber Blue, also about 300 miles away, for MSRP and XPlan!

I'm so happy I went for it. I still like Infinite Blue, but Grabber Blue is just so fun and bold!!

I need to post some pics...

It just feels distracting. After the first week of driving, I activated the shade, and never had it opened in 6.5 years. With MME, I'll learn to live with it, but if I had a choice, I wouldn't have it.
The only time I really even notice my glass roof is if I'm riding in the back seat, other than that I forget it has a glass roof. I've had the car since April and the glass roof never bothered me over the summer. Hope I feel the same during the winter.
