The only caveat to this is that there seems to be many (maybe?) people that might be getting the virus and it never gets counted since it is never severe enough for them to go to a doctor and have it confirmed. It's worse than the flu, I'm sure, but I'm not sure it is as bad as stated in the above graphs.
Exactly. The age profile (age group to age group) actually parallels the flu almost perfectly. All the bars on the right chart will surely drop (as a %) as they get a better count/estimate of the # of people that have the virus (that we just don't know about yet). The question is just by how much. Only time will tell whether those %'s drop by 2x... 5x... 10x... They'll surely drop. Just won't know for many months how much.

That's the main fear right now - the unknown. It wouldn't surprise me if the # of cases and death toll actually come in well under the annual flu. It's surprising how many people get and die from the flu every single year...

Plus such stats are always a little bit misleading. A large % of people that die from such illnesses arguably die mostly from old age, but it's aggravated/accelerated by the illness.

For the number that actually have it that aren't being counted now, you mean? Yep, and that would cut the death% by 10x, since we're counting all the actual deaths (the numerator in the equation) but undercounting those that get the virus (the denominator).

A factor of 10x would drop it down near the death rate for the annual flu (~0.1%).

Firstly, I work in the healthcare field and the past few days been reading several threads on here (and various other sites) about COVID-19 and I see the same bickering, finger pointing, misinformation, denials about this virus, etc.

Folks can't stress enough, its real, it's here and we all need to work together to get through this. Practice good hand hygiene, social distancing, don't horde, and if you're healthy, help those that are in need when you can.

Here's research data from John Hopkins University (dashboard was developed by ESRI) that I think everyone will find useful:

Yep. Which is both good and bad news. Bad in that far more people are likely to get it. But good in that the death rate is likely far smaller than what's being counted so far (as we've been saying). And maybe also good that humans could be developing immunity to it (from getting it and surviving, although that's yet to be proven).

On a Mach-e note... where'd you get that avatar picture? I love that green color! Wish they were offering that for real.

Ohio has now ordered all : Barber Shops--Hair Salons--Nail Salons
Tattoo Parlors--Spas to be closed. Also all BMV's except 5 to be closed
and the 5 BMV are for only Truck Drivers Licences only.
All so: Gov. suggested all employers take all employees temputure
before work. o_O

I assumed Mach E forums are friendly! ;) But is seems I can't link to it here. (Mach E Club website)

There is a thread under "General Discussion" forum that fantasizes about various colors for the Mach E. This one was Bullitt Green.

Sorry if this is off topic for this thread, but here's a video of the 2019 Bullitt Mustang in case you are interested:

Didn't know there did a remake. Been probably 4 decades since I've seen the original. ?

That is a nice green. Still think Ford dropped the ball on the colors they're offering on the Mach-e. Lots of black/white/gray and very little color.
