I needed to pick up new tires for my Mach-E and looking at Costco where I always get tires I see the three shown here. Since my options are more limited at Costco and the threads I see here have information that deals with a wider variety of tires, I would like an opinion of those here that are definitely more knowledgeable than me.

Thanks.

The Michelin CrossClimate 2 is the stock tire on the Mustang Mach E Rally. Ford seems to like it.

I called the dealer back and the service writer said that they planned on putting on Michelin Primacy which I see at Costco. The service writer said he would go out and take a photo of the existing tire since I am not at the dealership.

The Primacy is an OK tire but most people move on from it. The CC2 shown there is a popular tire especially if you have inclement weather where you are, very well rated in wet and snow, and very quiet. That is what I would get from those choices.

Note that the CC2 is unidirectional and cannot be rotated in a conventional pattern. This is fine if you do not push the limit while cornering. If you do enjoy pushing the limit, be prepared to unmount and remount tires as the rotation process is handled (or to have one side wear faster than the other). ??

And if you are worried about range, the Primacy will be the better choice and why Ford uses them for the OEM tire. The CC2's will have a slight loss in range.

I really appreciate the advice. The decision seems to have gotten a bit easier however. I called Costco to see when they had appointments available, and the Primacy is backordered so that one is out. @phidauex, I live in California and inclement weather here is only rain and even then, it is minor.

I looked a bit into the two tires in other forums as I didn’t see much here, and I didn’t really see anything bad about either except complaints of loss in range due to rolling resistance. It said that a low rolling resistance had the downside of less grip and lower durability of the tires. On a Tesla forum and an Ioniq forum they were claiming about 5% range loss.

Taking weather out of the equation and me handing you a blank check for the tire choice it seems like I can’t really go wrong with either, but there are more votes for the CC2.

Living in Colorado where we do get some snow and based on all the forum posts on tires the CC2 seem to be the biggest vote winner. I will be getting those when Moody needs new shoes.

CC2 on my wife's Volvo and loving them. I hear they're great on Mach E as well. But, can take a range hit.
