Ever since I can remember, whenever the exterior of the car is wet from rain or a car wash, if I open the hatch I get a drip mark that goes on the inside of the rear glass down the middle.
Doing some cleaning today I had a small bit of rubber fall into my hand when wiping around the rear wiper. Here's what I found:
It may not be the root cause of the intrusion, but doesn't hurt to have this looked at. I have some scheduled work happening next week, I will ask that they take a look at this and replace it if they have the part available.
For the record, my baby is parked out of the sun in my garage when she's not on the road. I get a spray wash once a week. I'm in the Midwest.
Seems like an early failure for such a small part.
