Crank Noise Coming from Driver Door

Just started having same issue on my driver side door. Been driving me crazy trying to narrow down what it can be.

There's another thread on the forums where someone had visible failing welds and posted a photo. Mine weren't visible without taking the door apart. You issue is probably that or (hopefully) the simpler door check.

I took a look today and do notice the 1-2 visible cracks.

I have been having the same issue as well with my drivers door. Also my USB/C ports in the center console don't work about 25% of the time.

I started a new thread on this to get Fords attention. My dealer told me full door replacement as welds are breaking. Over $2,000. Mine clicks when fully extended. @Ford Motor Company - this is a defect not a warrantee claim. We didnt cause this, faulty welding did. If you want we can discuss in the media, ill start with friends at my local tv station. Maybe it becomes as big as the airbag issues OEMs had fun with or dare I say HVB??? Who knows, wanna find out?

Was last week at my local dealer and they confirmed that door should be replaced under the warranty. They ordered new door but it is back ordered and no estimate time provided. Hey @Ford Motor Company can you look in this from your side? Thanks

Same. I need one and they ordered it, but have no idea how long until it arrives.

I dropped off my Mach E at dealership two days ago for this issue. And they still looking into and not sure if they will order a new door or actually cover it. My other concern is if this issue is resolved by replacing the door, unless they fixed the design on newer doors this issue will most likely will come back and we will have to pay out of pocket next time.

I have the same issue, but out of warranty, will be 3500 to replace. @Ford Motor Company @Ford of Canada can we do anything?

I've been waiting over a month for a door, and there is still no ETA

Will keep track of this topic. Same issue on a 21. Brought it in just before warranty expiration. Was told check needed to be replaced. "Compared to others working normal" after check replacement per form. NOT. Complained and was told it was fixed. Could not leave it at the time (already a couple weeks in the shop for the HVBJB repair) but getting worse now over the last few months. Will be a long discussion with the manager when I get the chance to bring it back in. Had expected the Ford extended warranty to cover it anyway but from what I saw in one of the strings they are denying that one also. At least I have paper that says "you said you fixed" but obviously you did not."

My dealer just informed me Ford advised the. It is normal wear and tear for the car. They will not fix it under any warrantee. Im just screwed I guess
