I was driving on R 140 S and the highway connects and becomes R 885. The mustang reads the highway sign as an 85 MPH speed limit sign and set my cruising speed to 90 MPHo_O. I think the actual speed limit was 60 or 65. Has anyone else had this problem where they drive?

Yes, that kind of issue has been discussed extensively on the forum. The idiosyncrasies I've experienced are:

1. Reacting to speed signs on adjacent roads.
2. Not reacting to black on yellow as speed limit changes.
3. Seeming to respond to some internal database speed limit that's not on any nearby sign.

I still use the Adaptive Cruise Control with speed limit recognition and stay ready for an occasional intervention.

I think if I was always taking new routes I probably would turn off speed limit recognition.
Now I know where they happen, so SLR is more help than hindrance.
