I know the Manual states that the Mach-E has Speed sign recognition however, does it also use the Mapping system (Ford’s, Google’s, Waze) to display the speed limit on the display?
There are many roads around my Town and State that display the speed limit VIA a Sign like all other states and towns, (and around the world I’m sure) but as an example, entering a stretch of road here the speed limit has changed recently from 55 to 45 mph. Initially the MME shows 45 (signage at the start) but about a mile down the road the display goes to 55 with no speed limit sign, then a bit further another sign showing 45 and the MME display drops back to 45. So, from this I can guess that it uses both. But because the mapping software hasn’t been updated it will flip back and forth.
Fun stuff.
Which bring up another interesting question. How far apart should these speed limit signs be placed? A quick search came up with really nothing of value.
