What’s the cause ? Drivers dash panel comes on randomly in the middle of the night when parked. I do have PAAK created. See video. This occurs multiple times a night on random nights.

Probably the rear-facing camera’s IR emitters. They turn on at odd intervals. I don’t have that on my car so I don’t get to see it. ??

Something is waking up your car. Could be because your phone or fobs are nearby. Or some app is pinging the vehicle.

This would be my guess... it also looks like it is flashing between the left and right side sensors. Now WHY that would be coming on would be a mystery. I have a camera in my garage and haven't ever noticed anything like that. Scratch that, mine is doing something too - just never saw any alerts for it.

Though from mine, it looks like it's related to the charging. But whatever the light is goes off and on a few times for like 20 minutes after it appears the charging completes.

That's your IR lights for the drivers camera. Something is waking it.

Here's a 30 min timelapse of what mine is doing. It does appear to be the driver monitoring IR lights. If I go back further in the video, they're basically on the entire time it is charging and then go on and off every few minutes after the charging completes for another 30 minutes.

Absolutely no FOB or key or phone or anything within any range to wake it up.

Oh and yes. They stay on pretty much the whole time the car is charging. This is, stupid, but by design.

Nominal BT range is 330ft (a football field). There's a really good chance someones phone /key is near enough.

It'll also kick those lights on during some updates.

I actually had my car 'see me' walk through the garage even though my fob and phone were 30ft from the car and not in my pocket. That was odd, my pony lights were on though.
Most of the time a phone or fob will kick on the pony lights if locked, try locking the car adn seeing if they start showing up. (Welcome lighting in the settings if it's off)

I don't have PAAK set up at all, so it's definitely not a phone. And the fobs are probably 40-50 ft away in the house, through the steel walled garage and the walls of the house. I do have walk away lock set up, so it is already locked in that clip.

It doesn't ever seem to wake up from the fob until I'm maybe 5' away just in front of it outside the garage.

I might move my garage camera to look at the dash area to see more clearly what items are randomly on. Yours appears to “blink” whereas my appears to stay on with motion making it seem like to Ford startup screen. We have to wait till the next random event.

Mine actually stay on for about 20 seconds at a time and turn on every few minutes. The timelapse just makes it look like their constantly flashing.

There's a few lights (4 of them) above the steering wheel. 2 on each side of that black bar. These trigger the entire time charging, not when just plugged in, and this is not woke from the fob/phone this is by design. (mine don't shut off unless it's not actively charging.)
Interestingly you're looks like it flashes them all at once.

I know mine flashed dashboard and exterior lights when getting an update one night.
