Lights randomly switch from auto to on when parked

I have a 2022 Mach E premium AWD which I purchased used and I've noticed a strange occurance with the lights when parked. A handful of times while in the store or just out and about the lights have come on by themselves when parked. I always keep the lights on auto but some how they switch. Any reason why this happens?

There is. It requires a new headlight switch.
