I would go aftermarket on just about any additions to the car, except for an extended warranty. That said, unless you are in CA or Florida you can get a factory extended warranty from one of the online ford dealers at a big discount off of retail. ??

I do have to say that when I was talking to the dealer about my current MME I asked them if they could get the front end PPF’d because when I was looking into getting my first MME done I would have had to give up the car for a week. The dealer didn’t have anyone who could do it. Subsequently I found out that my tint guy does PPF and has a great price (maybe because I have been brining him cars for 20+ years, maybe just because he has good prices) and I didn’t need to give him the car for a long period of time (two half-day sessions to do the nose and the hood and A-pillar). In the second session I walked to my pet supply vendor who is about half a mile from him, bought dog food, and he was done before I got back. ??

Walmart has a Tesla to J1772 Charging Adapter for $17.99. It has a 5 star rating and is a best seller, too. I may buy one just to do a forum review on it.

I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole.

I personally stick with UMC TeslaTap, Lectron or A2Z for my J1772 adapter.

I bought the 48 amp Lectron and gave it away to a fellow owner and prefer to use the A2Z stellar adapter which was more compact and had a built in lock.

I’m actually going to use it today to charge at a hotel.
