Delivery ETA

I did an deposit on an Mach-e Gt on July 27th and got an estimated of 3-4 weeks when the vehicles gets delivered to the dealer. Now it is being pushed back to Aug 30th. This is normal right? They didn't provide a vin or order #. Any insights or advice to pass the time, I guess lol. Thanks.

I put my order for a Premium in February. It was built in May, and the first estimate for delivery came when it got to "built" status a week after it entered production. They estimated a June delivery, and then pushed that delivery date back 4 times, and it was finally delivered in July.

So I guess you be happy that it seems like production has sped up, at least. But I know how much the waiting sucks!

Have you signed up for a Ford account? Once you have an account, you can log in at Ford.com, then go to My Account -> Reservations & Orders, and it should show you the order number (not that you can use that order number for much... The order tracking wouldn't accept that order number). But then you can watch the status, which will go from Ordered -> In Production -> Built -> Shipped -> Delivered (to the dealer, most likely).

I did not special the car online since I found it through the inventory search and ask the dealer about it. The dealer said that the car is inbound? to them and if I wanted to reserve that car, I will need to add a deposit. I have a ford account but I did not get an order # and I can search up the VIN through the ford inventory or the dealer's website. I guess I have to wait when it arrives, just wish that the whole thing goes through because I really admire the car and I don't want some dealership experience ruining it.

Yes, very normal. Mine was supposed to be here late July, just got an updated dated of late August/early September

If it's in transit, it may take longer due to railcar issues.

Mine was en-route in April but got derailed.

At least Ford did the right thing and pull one out of their built vehicles from someone else's order and hot shotted it to my dealer in 2 weeks.

Imagining the beautiful car getting damaged hurts the soul. When you said pull out a vehicle from someone's order, does that mean you took their order? I hope that the dealer won't sell the car that I deposit, towards to someone else.
