Description of Updates?

Does anyone know how to find what the updates include while updating in FDRS? I have a couple I’m going to do on Wednesday and want to know what they include if possible. I have a job 2 gtpe and wondering what updates if any I can’t do.

What do you mean by "what the updates include"? I also have a GTPE and have completed all of the updates that should show up for you.

You can do any updates available in "software updates." Updates are generally meant to be ran corresponding to a TSB or something similar. Dealers generally won't just go run all updates. For that, it doesn't show what the updates do. Its more so: customer reports brakes are grabby, finds a tsb related to grabby brakes, says update ABS to latest software. Customer states PaaK isn't working reliably, finds bulletin related to PaaK reliability that says to update RFA.

Yes, you can just do all of them. You can google the update and see what it is related too. For example, "mach e RFA" and you'll find it takes you back to a post on this forum which will tell you that that helps Phone as a Key reliability. There are a few threads on here about these updates and some issues that might come up. A new thread generally pops up each time new SW updates become available too.
