Our car "screens" are far more complex than any home PC.

And at this price point, its difficult to name OEM's who to not allow customization. Heck, my 2018 Accord allows more...A LOT MORE!
Good for you!

I just got "PowerUp Update 6.8" - says for improved instrument cluster. But Ford made it a CLUSTER.

Put the darn speedo back to center!!! (Nothing moves it to center with this update)

Why does Ford not allow any customization of our displays. Its absurd.
You’re way behind (And that’s a gross understatement) if you’re just now getting OTA 6.8. You’ll be able to change it back once your car is up to date. You’ll need to turn most, but not all, ADAS features off at that time. That update was somewhere around OTA 10.x. Someone else here will know exactly what update allowed the centered speed reading again.

how do I get this on my 25?
For the 2025s they went for quite different format.
Personally I like it better than the 2024 and below format. It is much more consistent between the different drive modes, and includes more information like the energy meter.

I believe you need to disable all of the ADAS features, the same as all MMEs. I always have ADAS activated so I don't see the new display.
No, the 2025s work differently. There isn't any way to remove the car/center the speedometer.
On the other hand, the display is much more consistent between different modes and has extra information like the energy meter.

BTW on a personal note, I can't see how people like that white background!
It is especially bad on the 2025s.

This is the indicator that lane keeping is on:

As you can see from the two images the car is there no matter if lane keeping is on or not.

The 25s thankfully do have their own version of the animation, despite the car icon in the center. Looks nice. Maybe I'll get around to taking a video

I will miss getting the cool centered numbers and different anim on the earlier versions, but I am one of those buyers for whom Lane Keeping / Lane Assist is probably the most important feature I will look for in a car, and can't bear to turn it off

At advanced enough capability the car can basically drive itself, without having to wait for FSD to mature

I've been fortunate enough to drive a family member's Ioniq 5, and its lane assist (although not necessarily superior to Ford's local road lane assist, which in the 2025 Mach E's does very well when it works) still tries on sharp curves or missing outer lane markings without disengaging, and can almost drive itself

Very good on driver fatigue and usage of time. Now, I also wanted to drive like a maniac and prefer the Mach E, but lane assist will be very important moving forward for me. To be clear, Ford's still ranks amongst the best on local roads, not even counting the new BlueCruise

It is a bit strange on my part, but I like the orange bar indicator on the lane keeping when it sees you going out of the lane. I don’t have a picture of that though because other than when stopped the only pictures I have taken are with my wife driving, and didn’t want to ask to purposely “bump the lane marker”.

What a pleasant surprise to get back our center speedometer & drive mode graphics!
@Ford finally gave them back to us. The best OTA ever.
I appear to be one of the minority who like the right side mph.....I just got the recall reprogramming done and was pleased to see that the dashboard display is just the same as it was!

Personally, I have never really cared one way or another, both are perfectly visible, and I suspect for the majority of the people (which don't come to a forum) that would be true. But what I do like about the 2025s is consistency. In the 2024 we had, depending on if you had lane keeping on or off you, or if you are in a different drive mode things move around on the display. On the 2025s this jumping around doesn't happen.

I was mistaken. I had the opportunity to test the (2022) Ioniq 5’s lane keeping system again recently, and it is modern Ford Blue Cruise 1.5 (with its Copilot system) that is superior on local roads, and tries more when road markings are poor

I love this car, and that’s one of the main reasons. Also one of the most fun cars I’ve ever driven
