I haven’t had the distance indicator on for a long while. Recently it seemed that precollision warning wasn’t working when it should have. I turned on the distance indicator and no matter how close I got to the car in front of me, the distance never changed. I was 10 feet from their bumper at 40 MPH.
I restarted the car, it worked for a few minutes, showed dark orange, and then back to blue again.
What’s odd to me is that BC works just fine. Maybe BC doesn’t use the radar?
I only found one thread here that suggested the radar bracket might be broken and skewed the radar. But the OP never responded with results and hasn’t been on the site since 2024.

Do I really have to take the whole bumper off to check? I know I’m going to break all the tabs if I try.
