Follow distance not working

So 2 days ago I got too close to a very tall curb and scraped the bottom of my bumper a bit. Now in bluecruise, my follow distance doesnt work and it will just go right into the car in front of me. I have also seen about 5 collision alerts over 50 miles of driving since. I took off the lower underbody cover but cant access the forward radar but nothing looks damaged beyond a little lost paint. Im guessing I pushed the radar out of whack. Any suggestions on the fix. Looking around I can take off the entire front bumper and grill to access the radar but not sure if beyond that I need special tools to realign the sensor. Any advice appreciated!

Yes, it sounds like the radar sensor got bumped out of alignment. You may have broken the bracket holding it. You’ll have to remove the full bumper. Use a level to make sure it’s perfectly vertical.

And just a hunch but I'm going to guess the sensor bracket is broken, so you might have to buy a replacement part. You'll have to drive the car on a flat road afterwards for a while and hope it self-aligns, otherwise you'll need a scan tool to run the radar alignment procedure.

If you place one to medium, one to high, and one to highest, you'll see them comply with in a line as opposed to fumbling over eachother, so it is clean that what he stated is inaccurate.
