I expect my dealer to call me next week (hopefully) with the HVBJB part ready to install. I know they will update some modules as part of the recall service. Would a DIY update using FDRS prior to this service have the potential cause any issues or confusion with the dealer? For instance, is it possible as part of a DIY update? I would end up updating something that they don't anticipate being up-to-date?
Also, in a the now two-year old YouTube video where the mac & cheese guy is updating his vehicle with FDRS, he talks about needing to check in the forum to see whether the updates showing in FDRS are the correct updates for his vehicle to because some of the updates are only for Job 1 or Job 2 vehicles. Is that still an issue these days? I have a 22. It doesn't appear the thread he's referencing is still active.
