I am going to keep the vendor anonymous because I think user error is the most likely cause here, but it is NOT a sponsor on this forum. I've reached out to them to see if they are willing to help me out any.

I got their headlight, trunk ledge, and door sill PPF kit. I was only successful installing the door sill PPF.

For those of you with 2021-2024 Mach-Es, do you have this bump on your headlights? This kept my PPF from going on all the way.

Question, why do these parts and ignore others?

I would argue that these parts are the least important to PPF. The priority should be bumper and grill (especially for non GTs), front edges of hood and fender. Everything else can resist a chip and is therefore less important. I also do the mirrors and piano black trim all around cause I don’t want to see swirls.

A competent shop took three full days to install PPF on my two Mach-Es. It’s way too complicated for a DIY.

I wanted to do the door sills because I have a dog, so I would like that area to be useable as a step.

Now that I think about it, I managed to accumulate very few chips in the 10 years I've had my Chevrolet Volt, so I am feeling inclined to take my chances. Still, ? on those piano black surfaces!

Yes, and my PPF is stretched over it.

Yeah, dealing with PPF is one PITA and one I leave for the pros. It's one of those things that you only get better at with practice, which is why it's not a good DIY option unless you have very easy lines and a bunch of patience to redo several times. They charge big bucks to do this for a reason! But I commend you for attempting as life is a great big learning lesson. And if you do it enough, maybe a new business venture!
