Before I remove the interior frunk panels to simply take a peek I thought I might get an answer here.

I have a grill decal and was wondering if the pony is a holy terror to remove and reinstall.

Thanks.

IIRC from pix posted to other threads, there are 3 clips that hold it in.

There are 3 posts on the back of the front emblem. These three posts go through the front fascia and are held with push nuts on the back. Even with the frunk tub out the posts still aren’t really accessible except through the small opening where the hood latch is. I couldn’t get my hand down through to pull the push nuts off. I reached in with a long screw driver to pry them off and broke one of the posts. But really, I’d gladly break all 3 posts off and then reattach with 3M emblem tape.

If you don’t want to risk it, just lay the grill decal over the pony emblem and then trim with a scalpel when done. It’s what I did with my wife’s car, and it ended up looking better than mine. With mine I pulled the emblem, laid the vinyl and tried to reapply the emblem over the vinyl, forcing the vinyl into the cutout that the emblem fits in. Problem was in forcing the emblem in and making the vinyl form to the cutout divot, it wrinkled at all the edges.
