That's very strange. I am using a vinyl replica for my front plate, which probably reduces the chances of interference compared with an aluminum plate. If you like the bracket, you could try that.
I’m sure your vinyl plate, like my vinyl wrap, doesn’t inhibit the radar sensors. It’s the metal plate causing the interference. Kinda bummed that I wasted the money, but it was an experiment. They don’t all work out.

Thanks, I won't be doing a vinyl license. I hope it works out for my Mach E.

I considered ordering the vinyl replica plate. They aren’t legal in NY but I figured if I put it on a stiff vinyl blank. Nobody could tell. But by the time I could have ordered all that, I can order a different bracket and save money.

That is what I did and I covered the vinyl plate with a clear plastic shield. It is practically impossible to tell it is vinyl and not aluminum. And the plastic shield protects the vinyl to keep it from getting torn with road debris.

I didn't put vinyl on the front because of sensor issues. I did it because the original license plate was in horrible shape from being on the front of my previous car for many years. Road debris over the years wore away the color and it really needed to be replaced. But the DMV no longer offers that plate and I wanted to keep it, so I ordered a nice new vinyl one.

In your case it makes perfect sense. For me the extra $80 on top of already wasting $90 on the Sto-n-show…. Not so much. The Craig’s bracket came back in stock for $60.

Checking on the STO and Sho, i just got my car and i really want to avoid putting that ugly license plate thing in front. Wanted to check if the Sto and Sho causes any problem with the sensors and how bad is it on low clearance area.

No sensor errors for me, but the plate is rather low. I have to be careful with curbs and sharp dips. I would not want the plate to be any lower. It does look really cool down low like that, though.

Same with mine...at least if you accidentally hit a concrete parking block with it, the front valance may be spared. It's easy enough to straighten out a bent plate, after all.

the Sto n Show is not centered, but I am not moving it again right now because of the tape.

Here is my install. It took 45 minutes for me to get it all done. It was a pretty easy install overall. I drove around the neighborhood at 25-30 and drove into the garage. The sensors seemed fine. Please excuse my poor mans blur, and ghost car in the back. ;)

If you mount it in the center it takes 3 minutes. Was there a reason you went off to the side?

I almost moved some mulch yesterday.

I picked the wrong screw and don't have tape to replace it on the mount. I might fix it at some point.

Got my “Craig’s Custom Mustang Bracket” and installed it today. A better option IMO.
No sensor problem and it allows my front stripes to be seen below the nose cone enough to tell that there is a line of body below the “grill”. The factory bracket just made it all look like on big blob there. And the Sto N Sho was way too lo fo sno

Thanks guys for input got my Sto and Show Bracket and got it installed. I live in Illinois so based on my purchase seems our legislator got wind of it in the windy city.

So they might pass legislation removing the need for front license plate in illinois. But these are politicians for now its Sto and Show. Will report on any sensor errors on my AWD premium.
Any suggestion on license bracket the Sto and Show folks said get a thin one.
