Dog / Pet Mode setting request

I know it has been mentioned before. However, we need a software update to include a Dog/Pet setting (A la Tesla) to keep Mach E cool when out of the car for short periods.

We have been asking for this since the first 2021 Job1 cars were delivered. Maybe some day. For now, I leave the car running, turn off the auto shut-down timer, bring up the Sketch app and load my extra-artistic (aka ugly) “A/C is ON” graphic. Then I fold the mirrors, close the door, and lock it. ??

Please do not rely on technology for the safety of your animals. It just takes a matter of minutes for a dog to be in distress and die

Add it to the very large list of what current owner's want (via software updates) that Ford continues to ignore for years now.

BTW it's been on the list forever.

I’ve never used it but does the Sync have that option where you can leave suggestions? Some icon you clicked left a message etc. it’s been a while tho

...Not only has dog/pet mode been on the list of requests forever, Ford, via Farley himself, has stated more than once that we will get this feature. It's not something that would be difficult to add, but I think Ford is still trying to figure out how to monetize all of this. The 2024 model year brought a couple new features to the Lightning, like Pro Power "generator" mode. There's no reason it isn't available on prior model years, just Ford using model year to gate-keep little features.

Honestly, my chihuahua is so "spicy" I'd be worried about what he would do to the car's interior. And someone mentioned to be extra careful relying on technology to care for your dog. Technology is great...WHEN IT WORKS! I know we have all experienced tech-failure, so please just consider that when leaving your loved pet in a car for extended time. Better safe than sorry.

My 2 cents... Not preaching but we just lost a dog (unrelated to automobiles), so pet care is on my mind.

My understanding is that the challenge for Ford is that they rely on contractors and the interoperability of the components make features like dog mode challenging to implement. In an interview with Farley I saw a while back is that he is planning to take all the SW in house, like Tesla.
