Door Keypad Intermittently Inoperative

Door keypad works fine except when prolonged direct sun exposure, then keypad is inoperative. Fortunately I can use my Apple Watch to open the car. I rely on the keypad while working out and don’t carry a phone or fob. Any idea what’s going on? Yet to take it to the Ford dealership.

I had the same issue a few days ago, first time it ever happened. Possibly a recent background update that caused a glitch? It only happened that one time.
