I’ve had my Mach e premium AWD ER for about 9 months, am loving it, and have had absolutely no problems even after several OTA updates. A few days ago, immediately after the 4.1.1 OTA update, I received a message saying door sensor failure, service required. In addition I now continuously get messages that the transmission is not in park and you have to turn off the parking brake manually as drive away resetting the parking brake does not work. I have seen other threads about this message in other situations but none related to this OTA update. It seems people have had sensors replaced and the problem did not go away. Due to the proximity to the software update it seems more to be a software problem. I’m hoping it will go away when I get 4.1.2. I have an appointment with my dealer in a couple of days but was hoping others may have seen this or have ideas before I speak with the dealer. The other thing that surprises me is that all the door sensors seem to show the correct status (either opened or closed) implying that they are working. Has any one else seen this?

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.

I am not having the issue with the parking but I have the door sensor failure. It went off for several days, then I started having difficulty with the door staying shut. It even popped open when we were in the house, setting of the alarm. I tried locking it, it still popped open. So, on the one year purchasing anniversary, I had to drive it 20 miles to the dealer with my husband in the passenger seat holding the door closed. They said the door latch assembly needs to be replaced but the parts are not available in the state. So now my car, with a faulty door, is being stored outside in inclement weather. She's only been outside overnight once. Not sure when I'll get my car back.

If you're looking up VIN numbers... please see my comment above. Similar issue to this individual.
