I enjoy how it’s all mostly high density urban areas.
Looked like mostly LAX SFO And a few others. Kind of surprised Seattle is not on the list.I enjoy how it’s all mostly high density urban areas.
And a Sheez in a town of 3k.
That Sheetz is a constant bottleneck crossing Pennsylvania. Heads up to anyone traveling through, hopefully this helps but I will still avoid that location.I enjoy how it’s all mostly high density urban areas.

Posted 6 months ago. It's a PILOT, your title implies they are implementing a congestion fee. There is no congestion fee. It's a pilot, to stop charging at 85%. Then, after a period, an idle fee gets assessed (which should be network-wide). https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/ea-congestion-reduction-pilot.37232/
I assumed, just seems random compared to the rest of the list. That Sheetz is a constant bottleneck crossing Pennsylvania. Heads up to anyone traveling through, hopefully this helps but I will still avoid that location.
This is assuming the EA charger works, provides an as noted charge rate or does not throttle down to 40kw 2 min after you start. Wonder if they restart the timer when you have to unplug and move to another plug at the site because the current one you use does not provide anything more then 40kw. That is assuming there are more than 1 working.
Those have been around for quite a while. I just wish EA would actually enforce this.
I have noticed a marked improvement at the EA stations i have used. This is assuming the EA charger works, provides an as noted charge rate or does not throttle down to 40kw 2 min after you start. I avoid EA at all cost!!
How do you know they were doing it in Yuma, vs. a charger not working properly?I ran into this Congestion Pilot in Yuma, AZ. They were not supposed to be doing this on major expressways but they were doing it on these chargers. I could not get past 80% charge as it was only outputting 4-5 kw. Tried to move to another charger but it wouldn't connect. I was at a 350 kw charger but it only got up to about 90 kw which was terrible speed. So after spending 30 minutes there, I needed another charge in El Centro, CA to make sure I could make it all the way to San Diego. The El Centro chargers sucked with only 1 working. Had to call to get another one reset. I could have make it all the way to San Diego from Yuma but I don't like chancing it.
On the return trip I stopped in Yuma again. This time I connected to one of the 150 kw chargers. I was getting 172 kw for almost the whole charging session. I was able to charge to 95%. Maybe the Congestion pilot doesn't work on Sunday evenings.
