I had this problem with my 2021 Mach-E GT PE. My dealer fixed the problem, but I don't think it was ever quite right again, since the car seem to make an additional noise that wasn't there prior to this issue occurring. The dealer said it wasn't an issue and did not pursue it further.
Hi there, David. This noise concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your Mach-E. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end. To send a private message, just click on our username and select "Start Conversation".

I believe that the pump issue is specifically called out in the scan tool that is used by the dealer. If you suspect it's the pump it's best to not drive your Mach E because if the pump fails much more damage will be the result.
An electrical issue with the pump? I think the pump is mechanically driven. There's an electrical circuit that monitors the pump. (Is it working or not...)
Hopefully someone else who really knows how this pump thing works can chime in.
Good luck.
I’m just going off what they said, because they originally didn’t say that was the case my first appointment for it. This was as I made another appointment for July, just for them to tell me the transmission coolant pump was the issue, and now August getting it addressed. Otherwise, I’ve been driving it since about June whenever it first came on. I had no decrease in performance and the wrench symbol would disappear here and there, but was present consistently. As for my issue being similar or same to yours, I was just guessing that either that’s what they truly meant, or it is something else. It’s currently being replaced (day 2 out of 2 or 3) at this moment. So, we’ll see if that was indeed what was causing the drivetrain malfunction or if it’s still something else.

I thought that the pump was mechanical too. I was corrected by a member who knows more about it. He referenced a tear-down video. ??
