Received the Powertrain malfunction/reduced power message on 5th of August on the Ford app regarding my 2022 Mach E GT-PE.
Message said to call dealer for service.
Called on 7th of August & got service appointment for 15th of August.
Didn't drive it except to the dealership on the 15th.
Fortunately, the power never reduced.
The vehicle is at Ford Dealer now & been there since Tuesday August 15th. Service Writer called on the 16th stating that issue was the Electric Drive Service Pump and part(s) would be in by end of the week.
Parts are in but now waiting for a Technician to work on it.
Asked what that part did but she didn't know.
So, question #1: What does this thing do?
Question #2: Anyone else experience is part failure?
Question #3: Should I start a case with Ford on this?
Thanks in advance,
MJ
