I'm at 23k miles and my tires look brand new...

I wish! I’m in month number 28 of my lease with only 19k miles and have already replaced. Mostly because of a bubble in a side wall but the fronts were pretty worn at the time.

Ah have you rotated them like Chevy says in the owner's manual: every 7500 miles?
