There are three drive modes - Engage, Whisper, Unbridled. Does drive mode effect battery drain? Unbridled use more charge than Engage?

No. Energy usage is a function of many things. But your driving style, terrain, and weather will dictate your range.
Unbridled accelerates faster (using more energy) but also decelerates faster (returning more energy). Whisper accelerates slower but also recaptures less energy. Once you’re moving at a steady speed, they’re all the same. Finding the drive mode that fits your drive style is your best bet.

For me, that comes down to Unbridled mode because I tend to brake late, so the stronger braking captures more of my energy back. Otherwise I slow down slower, and end up mashing the brakes to finish my stop, which doesn’t recapture my energy.

While the above is all true, using Unbridled makes it easier to drive in an inefficient manner due to the more aggressive throttle mapping. However, range usually doesn't matter except long highway driving and there your max speed makes the most difference.
