I few months ago I thought my GT had slowed down, or was I just used to awesome acceleration.
Judy had the recall performed. Wow!! The car really flies now.
Definitely faster.

We are going to need more details than this.

People have claimed this before, but it was all in their heads.

You sure you aren’t just in a different drive mode like unbridle?

No, the GT definitely is faster. Its most noticeable when I floor it while moving.
My friend made the same comment without me telling him I thought it was faster.

I will do a 0-60 run. I have a program on my phone for it. Does seem the vehicle is traction limited.

Take a video too of your dash so we can see the power meter.

You still are very loose with the details.

Things that impact acceleration- state of charge, temperature (battery and exterior temps), speed (slower acceleration above 72 mph) etc.

FWIW, traction has always been a problem for my GTPE (until I got very good performance tires recently). Just made a thread with videos about it too.

https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/can-you-do-a-burnout-gt.35054/

But either way, we need more info. Specifically “faster how exactly,” and “faster why?”

There is nothing about the recall that should make your car faster. But you never know……. And if they did do something to the power limits, it wouldn’t be felt in 0-60, only above 72 mph.

Gut feeling. When Ford did the software recall in an attempt to alleviate the anode issue it diminished power. Then restored with hardware recall.

Which recall are we talking about?

Originally the software upgrade to "fix" the battery issue, then the hardware upgrade for the same issue. I never had the problem, but its was a recall.

Yeah, that update didn’t do anything to diminish power.

That has been tested and proven over and over from that old software update recall. Here is an old thread on the subject-
https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/gtpe-slower-after-software-update-safety-recall-22s41.20841/

LOL looking at that old thread looks like I was wrong about them replacing everyone’s HVbJBs.

If yours lost power, something is wrong with your car or it was just in your head.

I thought it may have been in my head except it was night and day after the recall. At the dealer almost 2 weeks, and they had the parts

Maybe. I had the same updates and hardware replacement a year ago. Measured after the replacement and got 0-60 3.9 according to an iPhone app.

So your GT has been significantly slower for almost 2 years? “Night and day….”

If so, that is a problem I would have tried to have addressed a long time ago!

No one has provided any evidence that there was a difference in performance as a result of the HVBJB replacement/recall.

Until proven otherwise, it's just a placebo effect.

My 2021 GT-PE certainly did not get quicker after the HVBJB blew up and got fixed. ?‍♂?
