Last Friday I was at the dealership getting my 2nd Fob programed and had some time to kill. The dealership had out front the new 4 door Bronco in a manual no less. After setting off the alarm, I asked to take it for a test drive. You would think the lack of customers would inspire a level of excitement but it was pretty bad. After about 5 minutes a young salesman showed up and we set out.
From the pics this one the dealership put a 2" lift and 37 tires on it. Looks very truck and in Alabama that is what sells. Over all it was very nice a solid, very good quality and has a great presence. The lift and tires are ridiculous to me, but they were not load and the suspension was nice feeling. Sifting was easy and fun, I came from a manual to my MME so I like them. It is big on the road for sure but easy to drive.
Now the bad, manual only comes with the turbo 4 motor which is a dog in this jacked up truck. The wind noise with the top down is also petty bad, l had a 2007 Jeep Wrangler and it was much better top down.
I doubt the manual will last in this dog motor for long. It would be nice to try the 2 door without a lift and tires in the manual to see if it is acceptable, but probably won't as I've really adapted to the MME a lot.
