It just happened, got the notification, could not believe it
After almost 9 months of waiting, never had 1 update since I left the dealership in September.
Scheduled tonight at 1am. Very happy

Congrats Phil
If this is the update that you'll receive, be warned that because it's updating the APIM module, it has to and will happen while the car is on and driving.

Again, if it's this update.

God Bless Ai ; Grok will below do a better job than Ford ;

Features Updated in SYNC 25.2.1.6.5

The SYNC 25.2.1.6.5 update, identified as a "Priority Update - Vehicle Systems Update Experience," focuses primarily on improving the efficiency of the software update process for the 2024 Mustang Mach-E. , this update enhances the management of OTA updates to ensure a more seamless experience. Specific details from the release notes include:

  • Improved Update Process: The update optimizes how the vehicle handles OTA updates, making the process more efficient. This likely includes faster download and installation times, better precondition checking (e.g., ensuring the vehicle is parked, off, and has sufficient battery charge), and improved user notifications about update status.
    https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/ota-update-sync-25-2-1-6-5.46005/
  • Access to Update History: Users can now view past software updates through the Ford website (ford.com/support/software-update-release-notes-history), providing transparency about what changes have been applied to the vehicle.

  • Background Enhancements: While the update may not introduce noticeable user-facing features like new apps or interface changes, it includes refinements to set the vehicle up for future updates. These could involve improved communication between modules or better integration with FordPass and other connected services.

This update is part of Ford’s ongoing efforts to refine the SYNC 4A system, which powers the Mach-E’s infotainment. It may also address minor bugs or stability issues, such as those related to Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, navigation, or Alexa functionality, as similar APIM-related updates have tackled these in the past. However, specific user-facing changes (e.g., new games or BlueCruise enhancements) are not explicitly mentioned for this version.

The SYNC 25.2.1.6.5 OTA update for the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E focuses on enhancing the efficiency of the vehicle’s software update process, with improvements to how updates are managed and tracked. It targets the APIM, the module responsible for the SYNC 4A infotainment system, which handles user interfaces, connectivity, and features like CarPlay, Android Auto, and Alexa. By updating the APIM’s software, this update ensures a more reliable OTA experience and may address minor stability issues, setting the stage for future enhancements. The APIM’s role as the SYNC system’s core makes it pivotal for receiving and implementing these updates, and its stability is crucial for the vehicle’s connected features.

Cheers !

Update : Unsure I fully grasp the process
Now I have this message which in theory was a good step in successfully completing the Ford Power-Up software update (APIM with SYNC 25.2.1.6.5) for my 2024.

Ford Mustang Mach-E First Software update, finally IMG_5188
But yet….
When I go look for my “new” Sync software version, I see this below, meaning I’m still at 25.0.9.4

Ford Mustang Mach-E First Software update, finally IMG_5189

So clearly my question for you is, what am i missing ?
Just trying to manage the expectations from this update.

-More / additional software?
-Am I supposed to see a newer interface or features ?
-Was this just basic module update that I won’t be able to see any result or differences ?

Thanks

Glad to hear your update finally came through. I had a similar wait and needed to send in a signed update waiver to Ford. I didn’t want to mess with a scanner or printer, so I used an online fax service I found through this list: https://comfax.com/reviews/best-online-fax-services/. It got the job done instantly from my browser. Might help others still dealing with paperwork from Ford or dealerships.

As software gets updated, it often brings new features that improve functionality and user experience. Similarly, in the world of health and wellness, a personalized fasting app provides customized fasting schedules and insights tailored to individual needs. These apps adapt to factors like age, lifestyle, and goals, helping users stay on track and maximize results. Just as software updates enhance performance, personalized fasting apps enhance your health journey by offering guidance that fits you personally. Embracing these tools supports more effective and sustainable fasting routines.
Thanks
This is really helpful
