The Plug and Charge through EA Fast Chargers Have worked flawlessly so far for me (I've used 262 kW of my 500kW bank over the last 6 months). My trouble has been with EVgo chargers. Several times I got an error message from initiation to the start of the charge, or charge for a few minutes then shut off, and, even when they have worked for me, I get a charging fault, see manual message when finished. The EVgos generally are 50 kW max, and they charge by the min, not the kW.
L2 chargers usually work without any issue for plug and charge, as most are either free out-of-the gate like Volta or require authorization (pay or free) before the nozzle is released for use (like Chargepoint).
