love my '23 MME but the app, more often than is bearable, does not keep up-to-date home charging status-- the latest "misfire' is my not being able to change the home charge target with the app. TIPS PLEASE! I have logged out, restarted my phone, logged back in many minutes later: same problem occurs. this is not the first time this app has frustrated me--is this a common experience? and, if I Delete the app (in order to re-install it) won't that cause me to lose my car's history?

Changing departure times, target charge, etc from FP has been hit or miss. Lately it’s been better for me (works half the time vs 1/10 times). The only sure way for it to stick is to set it in the car. Consider it an excuse to climb in and listen to some tunes while you set your target charge.

If the status from the vehicle is inconsistent and the settings don't save - does the vehicle have good AT&T service where it's parked when these issues occur?

My frustration with the app is that it always wants to charge to 100% if I start a charge outside of my preferred time range. If I try to move the slider down from 100%, it stops the charge and says it is waiting for my preferred charge time.

If it is doing that, it's likely simply because it has calculated that it can't reach 100% during the limited time you've set as your Preferred Charge Time (why they're Preferred Charge Times, not Absolute Charge Times). When you reduce below 100%, the charge becomes doable during the time so it waits.

The calculation for when to charge is done entirely on the vehicle, not the app.

It's probably because of poor AT&T cellular coverage in your garage, especially if it's underground or in a mountainous area. If the cell towers can't communicate with the car, you won't get status updates or be able to change charge settings. If you are in a poor coverage area, then you should make all the changes on the car's touchscreen instead of using the FordPass app.

You are reading that comment backwards. I do NOT want it to charge to 100% and I am NOT charging during the preferred charge time.

So, the answer is yes.

My question is did you even bother to open the app and look before posting the question?
