I received a Ford "PowerUp" update February 19th, and approximately since that time, my state of charge and location will not update on my app or logging in to my account on line. It does display correctly in the car. I have deleted and reinstalled the app, rebooted the car screen, to no avail? Is there something else I should do besides wait for a new update? I believe this was the 1st update I have received since getting the car in August. Thanks in advance for your guidance!

Go to Ford.com and see if your car is updating there. If so, the problem is on the app side….if Ford.com isn’t current, you have a car problem.

I once had an update that switched off settings in my car under ā€œConnectivityā€. That was a couple years ago, but might be worth checking.

Hi Gary,

If you can send me a private message with your VIN and your contact info, I'll get the proper eyes on this.

Well, unfortunately that did not work. I did not hear any clicking of relays, etc. upon getting the fuse back in (fat fingers on an old body), so I may give it another go later. I still think it had to do with the update to the car, so I might wait for the next update, or wait until Ford has a fix for one of the two outstanding recalls before enjoying a day at the dealership.

Would love to hear if you make contact with Ford here and find out anything new.
I definitely think there’s something going on with the modem and the OTA update process. Not a technologist, but this use case does seem to have something to do with it, since the dealer did a software update and magically everything worked again.

(the fuse thing might be related to a different problem with a similar set of symptoms.)

Final update: Thanks to some guidance from Brian, not AI, from Ford, I took my 25 GT in for service to troubleshoot my lack of connectivity after an OTA update. I had lost my GPS, my access via the FordPass app, and on line vehicle information access. After diagnosis, they replaced the telematics control module which appears to have resolved my problems. They also performed the recalls related to the LED headlights and the parking pawl. I appreciate the input from this community and Brian not AI @ Ford.

As an aside, my Enterprise rental was a 25 Mustang convertible 4 cylinder EcoBoost with an automatic transmission. The Enterprise guy made me promise to put the top down...no problem give our 60 degree winter weather here in southern California. What a blast! It had new rear tires at 20k miles, and I know why. One thing really stuck out with this Mustang. The sound system had so much more bottom end than my factory B&O in the Mach-E, and really sounded better...this in a base Mustang. It may be time to seriously consider a sub woofer.
