Fordpass Connection to Car

This may be a stupid question. I have 2 phones connected with one as PAAK although I always have my FOB with me as well. question is when out of car what is the expectation of Bluetooth connection to car? Is it like regular Bluetooth devices that cant connect at certain distance. At home it is hit and miss if Bluetooth connection is connected. Is this normal? I ask because departure time from app doesn't work and wondered if this was why. Thank you in advance for any clarity on this.

Once programmed, departure times are handled entirely within the vehicle. FordPass isn't needed. I do believe the vehicle needs to be connected to an EVSE ("charger") though.

The Bluetooth connection may come and go as you move around your home with your phone. This is normal.

Thank you, unfortunately departure time differs daily so cant set it and forget it in car and until it works setting from FP I have to go into car and set it each day

Setting a departure time doesn’t require a Bluetooth connection. It should get pushed to the car over the Internet as long as it has good AT&T signal.
