Frunk options

I popped into my dealer at the weekend and they are ordering the key replacement for me! Which will be fabulous and solve my frunk/froot frustrations.

So thanks for highlighting the notification, I would never have seen it and apparently dealers have been told to only order them if a customer specifically requests it, which rather implies that Ford won't be proactively contacting customers (which does seem to rather defeat any rationale for actually changing the key!). Anyway, I'll be very happy once it arrives - 10 day lead time mind you!

In the UK spec, is there any way of opening the frunk, other than with the handle? It seems daft that you have to open the passenger door to open the thing.
Mine is MY21, I don't have anything on the key or on the main display unit, where I can release the boot, so I thought I could use the keypad on the drivers door, but that doesn't seem to work either - has anyone had any success with that?

Weird that they didn't move the frunk handle to the right side of the vehicle for a RHD . Now you have to get out of the car, open the passengers door and pull the handle .. .

I just picked up a fob from an F150 Lightning. Works great for almost 2 yrs now.

What does that 4th button do?

Did you have the CSP on the app before you asked the dealer? Just checking as the CSP is not showing on mine but was maybe going to chance my luck by asking anyway?

You can also enter the door code, then press 7/8 after to open the Frunk. (If you have the open frunk update that shows on the screen)

Is the new key only for the UK? I bought a key with the extra button on Amazon. I can’t figure out how to share the link. Lols like the one pictured here but no pony on the back.

Yes I did, although didn't know it was there on the app, so just shared the CSP number listed in this thread with the dealer.

Exactly the problem, it's such a pain to open and in the UK it is not on the fob (although almost is), it's not on the main screen (next to the boot release) and it the 7/8 doesn't work - at least not for me.
What option have I missed - plugging a battery to the emergency leads in the front bumper??

I guess UK could be different, but

1. Footwell physical lever
2. Sync4 - Drive Mode screen
3. Keypad B-pillar
3 FordPass
5 FOB (upgrade)

2. Yes after update 6.14 - (it did for me Job 1 2021)
3. Yes but I've not tried it personally
4. Not for U.K. as no PAAK due to insurance requirement. (Would be much higher group level if enabled)
5. FOB (upgrade) - Edited - Looked in MyFord account and I can get a set of Mustang keys Booked in at dealer for 28th January - The old fobs must be handed over. Hurrah - No Fiesta fob anymore.
