Google maps is dim

Has anyone noticed that with the recent updates to Google maps (in the last week) that their maps on the Mach-E is dim?

When I start up the map is pretty dim. Sometimes unlocking my phone and re-locking it resets the external dimming setting (I am assuming this is what is happening in the background). Otherwise, the map is just dim when I am driving around.

I had this on my Android auto. Had to turn off the extra dim setting on my s22 ultra

Could it also be a low power setting or battery saver mode on your phone causing it?
