Many people comment about stiffness, while the problem is not stiffness is bounciness.
I have owned many sporty cars, some with stiffer suspension than the GT. For example, my old 2017 BMW X3 with sport package was stiffer (but not bouncy). The GT is somewhat stiff but not too much, I would say it is right amount for a sporty SUV.

However, the suspension has a bounciness in certain pavement conditions. It makes the rear jump up and down as if the suspension is broken. It is not because it is stiff. When it happens the suspension goes through all of its travel a couple of times until it settles. It reminds me of a 2012 Ford Taurus rental I drove once 10 years ago.
The solid steel sway bar greatly reduces backend up and down movement. The stock sway bar is very lite weight

I know this thread is older but wanted to see how the sway bar has been with bounce. Just took delivery of the GT (non-PE) and on some roads the bounce is real.
Right now PSI is 41.

I've had my GT for three days now and put about 250 miles on it. All types of pavement and I haven't noticed this at all. Is it mainly sectioned freeway that causes it? Does speed affect it?

I noticed it real bad going 45 on concrete road I believe. Otherwise the tight suspension you feel every crack which I assume is just a sportier suspension.
The bounce/wave is completely different.

I put my front tires at 34 psi and it takes the harshness away. But it only has a very minor, if any, effect on the bounce.

You could try 34 psi all around, or just on the front like I am doing. I think you will find it rides a lot better like that. 41 is pretty tight. I did have all four at 34 psi, but found I could not feel any difference when I put the rear back to 40-41. The front though - definitely feel it there.

thanks will try at. 34 doesn’t cause any alerts of low tire pressure?

We all need to remember this is a HEAVY vehicle with limited suspension travel...it weighs the same as a '67 Town Car convertible!
My GTPE is smooth on normal roads in Whisper and Engage....but one thing that it really hates is any kind of speed bump....also I95 concrete sections in most of Miami....gets a little jarring....39lb air pressure only helps slightly...anything lower will tear up the Pirelli's fast. Many have noted this is a perfomance car and not a cushy SUV ?

Nope - no errors or alerts. I have been driving with them at 34 psi for several months. I am sure range has been impacted, but I cannot tell how much. I suspect less than 5%. That is why I put the rears back to 40 psi - to minimize the impact on range.

I drove 400 miles home from the dealership and I did not experience any issues with a bouncy ride. After reading this issue I was concerned. I have a Corvette and it’s a pretty harsh ride. If you are looking for a smooth ride you won’t get that from a Mach. You will feel the bumps due to the suspension. Again I have not experienced the bounce.

I have 3k miles on the car, premium, 4wd and extended battery.

on main roads ride is more than fine. Secondary roads that might be patched, the bounce is terrible. I have a 911s so I know stiff and I traded in a Macan S for the MME.

I don’t think it is stiffness but as my grandson told me, I like this car, it’s like a roller coaster, he is 9. My wife thinks the bounce is terrible and I agree.

I am hoping to hear more about KW coilover to see if that will solve the issue. Seems to be a cheaper way to go compared to ordering a GTPE and waiting forever for the car to come in. Unfortunately it is pricey but still might be the best solution.
will look into the sway bar.

I am supposed to pick up my standard GT on Monday. The thing I am most worried about is the bouncy ride that has been reported many places. My wife gets car sick very easily and I'm afraid a bouncy ride will mean she can't ride in it and I'd probably have to look to sell it. Anyone have any more insight on the bouncy ride? Anyone with easily carsick family members?
Just have her stick her head out the window and the car should be fine.

Weight isn’t the issue. My wife’s Aviator weighs the same but rides significantly better (and she has the base suspension in it).

I still wonder if the Aviator shocks would bolt in. You’d lose some of the handling, but ride would be waaaay better.

Are you familiar with the term suspension travel....the Aviator probably
has 2.5 times that of a Mach-e...maybe the same suspension design but very
different spec.
