Definitely need to replace my stock 245/45/R20s, and I've decided I'll go with the iON evo.

I have seen some people going with the 255/45/R20 as opposed to the 245. From what I can tell, you sacrifice in speed rating, as the 255's drop down to an H, but they also have a better load rating at 105.

Has anyone found any pros/cons to going with the slightly wider iON?

The width will not have much of an effect on the car. I run a different brand in the tire category (summer-only, then winter-only). The Hankook will likely not handle as well as the OE, and the difference in speed rating will make the brakes less effective.

I don't think I would do this with the Hankook Ion, as its key attribute is efficiency. The reason to go wider is to lower tire pressure to give the car a more comfortable ride. But, sorry to repeat this, it will hurt efficiency.

On a side note, if your car is a GTPE, it actually comes with Y speed-rated tires, so H is a significant downgrade. The speed rating should be considered a "performance rating" because it also affects handling and braking effectiveness.

If you decide to go 255/45/20 105H run them @37PSI
