i’ve seen some critical comments about the cooling system in the MME over the past week or two. Although I haven’t read closely the criticisms, I did take a 300 mile road trip this week and temperatures between 108 and 115 Fahrenheit for the entire distance.
The trip was between Palm Springs and Algodones Mexico to get some dental work done. The distance is around 156 miles each way.
I left the house at 100% full charge and arrived in Algodones with a proximately 43% remaining. Recharged to 70% at the EA charger at the Target store in Yuma. normally my MME hovers around 3.1 KW/HR, but due to the extreme heat and high AC use, the trip averaged approximately 2.4 KW/HR.
The car performed perfectly . There were no indications of any problems nor adverse reactions to the extreme conditions during the entire trip. We ran the air conditioning at 72° the whole way. Turning in to a pretty great car.
