How do you get the equalizer settings to stick?

Sorry, new owner, have a GT Premium built in 5/24. I've gone through the manual and tried to find the answer here but no luck, The issue is we set the three tone setting to what we want turn the car off and when we start it again the settings are all back to the middle/neutral. I've tried everything I can think of, no luck. Is there a secret to getting them to stick? Thanks - Rick

I had trouble getting settings to stick when I set them while the car was in the garage. I moved it out of the garage where the car could talk to the Ford cloud or whatever and the settings stuck after that.

Chances are they're being tied to a profile and the car might be switching profiles or not able to save the profiles. Do you have a custom profile set and are you using the same key or phone when setting the eq? If it's set to guest it might well reset.

Yes, I have profiles set up for me and the wife. I made sure that her phone and keys were out of range. I make the change to them, turn off the car, turn it back on, using the same profile it‘s gone back to the default setting. Tired the same thing but using the wife key, same thing,

Strange, I will save the sound mode and speed compensate settings but not the EQ.

That's strange! I've changed the tone settings on my '22 and they stay put.

I’ll second this issue. From 2021 to about May 2024 I had the same equalizer settings and they never changed or reverted back to default, no issues. Then Ford launched the updated sound OTA which reset the equalizer which I guess is understandable, but ever since then, my settings revert back to the middle default about every other day. This occurs on both fobs/profiles. Quite annoying to be honest and I’ve yet to figure out how to get them to stick.

I've got a 21 but went into Forscan and changed my EQ profile to #2. If you have a ODBII reader and a ForScan license it might be the fix. (Yes i will fully agree that having to shell out funds to get a setting to stick is dumb)

Well I took it into service to have them check this issue and the SiriusXM 360XL channels stop working. The tone setting issue has the local Mach-E tech stumped and has opened a case with Ford and are waiting for a response.

Having the same issue with tone settings not saving. Also, using the center dial keeps turning off audio even when not pressed in. It's not a mistake touch.

Same manufacture date of 05/2024.

I have the same Issue , I've been resetting the audio sound controls ever time I restart to drive . I've done all the stupid human reset tricks , But turn the car off and off and the auto setting you just reset to your liking is now back to the factory settings ?
