My wife is driving the MME East for the first time ever. It's been a daily driver since we got it; this will be the first stop-to-charge trip we've ever taken.

I'm mostly worried about how bad going over SnoPass sucks the kW vs the estimated range. Plan on getting it to 100% before we leave, ABRP is saying Moses Lake Supercharger for the only stop before Cheney (destination).

Have the Ford Tesla adapter.

Thanks for any advice!!!

One trip pony here?. We took a trip last summer to South Dakota. We left Coleman Docks in Seattle and the first stop was the Tesla Supercharger in Moses Lake. No issues. The second stop was the Tesla store on the east side of Spokane. I have a GT so not the most efficient at 2.7 miles per KW. The lowest we got in the whole trip was 19%. I do advise you go to the Big B truck stop outside Ritzville and hit the TS to Top Up before you go on to Cheney. There are no fast chargers in Cheney just L2. This will give you cushion to drive around town.

Another option would be the west side of Spokane. But that is out of the way.

Thank you so much!!! Did you use any EV-centric route planning apps like ABRP? Or the in-car nav? Curious how much trust I should place in them. Also what'd you set the Cruise at?

Thanks again!!

Multiple trips from Sequim/Port Angeles area over Snoqualmie on I-90 to points East in my former MME CR1 and now with my Lightning. Both EPA rated at 320mi range. I stop at the Gravity Coffee with Tesla SC's in Cle Elum for my first stop after leaving my house with 100% charge and arrive with about 25%-30%. Great place for food/coffee/bio break while charging. This is without taking a ferry.

Plan to stop where it's comfortable for you and you can charge. The only charger on I-90 that I don't recommend is the Tesla SC in Quincy. The chargers are fine, but the Shell station is super janky and has a dirty single toilet that's guaranteed to have a line. Use the nearby SC in George instead if you need to stop before Moses Lake.

I'm not @david_quick , but I used ABRP connected through an OBD. It now uses the Android Auto connection for real time data like Google Maps does, so the OBD connection is no longer necessary. ABRP is only useable with AA or CarPlay with the paid version of the app. It's super accurate and the best for road tripping IMHO. Google Maps with AA is my second choice. I no longer use the Ford nav, it's outdated and useless compared to GM or ABRP and it doesn't show Tesla chargers.

EDIT:
For your cruise control speed question, I set it at the limit or a touch higher. Once out of WA, I set it at the limit or a touch under when the speed limit is 80mph.

I've gone over to Yakima several times, even in winter. It was no problem getting there even with my lead foot (electron foot?). Anyway, North Bend is a good stop if needed, mostly Ellensburg if I don't feel like pushing it, last time made it all the way to Yakima with about 30% to spare. So I wouldn't worry about the pass.

Yes. We used paid ABRP with a ODBII adapter and PlugShare. For cruise, I get it, people worry about efficiency. I however, set it at 5 above the speed limit and just go. When we got into MT that was 85. Still could drive 2-2.5 hours then I need to take a break anyway. This also works for going South on I5 to Portland which I do a lot more often.

Yeah this is quite interesting as if you turn on Drive Coach it tells you anything above 65 is inefficient. Which would've been REAL hard for me lol
