How good or bad is it completing purchase online?

My car arrived a day ago while I was on vacation. The dealer knows I was gone and was cool with it. When I logged in Ford.com, its now saying I can complete the purchase online. For those who have gone thru this, what was it like? Better than the average dealer boiler room or more difficult? Thanks in advance.

Don't know if it's gotten better since then. Looks like a decent process, but some people have said that dealers don't know about this system and they had to redo the purchase process at the dealer.

It was a waste of time in my case. The dealer is clueless.
