How long does it take to get a VIN?

On January 8, 2022 I ordered a 2022 Mach E Premium AWD Ext Range from a local dealer. I have the dealer number and order number but need the VIN to track it through production/delivery. My question is how long from the order date does it typically take to get a VIN assigned?

I don't want to be a pest but once I have the VIN I can track stuff myself without contacting the dealer. When I custom ordered my 2015 Mustang GT I was able to do that easily.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I ordered the same vehicle as you on 10/1 and got my VIN last week.

I ordered my 2022 CA Rt. 1 on 1 October, 2021; the dealer finally pushed it to Ford on 7 October. I received a VIN with my production schedule notification email on 4 November.
