Doing black stripes on her red Mach-E. Going for a reverse of red stripes on my black Mach-E. Opposites do attract. Probably be a couple weeks before I can get the stripes from StripeSource and have the time off work to make it happen.

I also posted photos on fb and I woke up this morning to a notification that Mike Levine liked my photos. Mr Levine approves of my stripes too. Well, I’m starting this Sunday out feeling pretty damn special.

I'm going with some black stripes on the sides. Remove the emblems, 3" or 4" stripes like on a Mach 1, but, with Mach-E, of course. I am in contact with a local shop who does custom work. But, I may try a DIY option through an internet stripe vendor.

I had the same idea...I'm eager to see this. Show us the way...

Waiting on StripeSource to get back to me. Their internet request guy just had his first child. So I’m cutting him some slack. Hopefully in the next couple weeks I’ll have her car all done to match mine.

I heard from them a couple days ago. Just a note saying their internet guy has been injured and unable to work. And that their trying to train someone to handle the ordering. I’m frustrated but trying to cut them some slack.

UPDATE:
For DIY stripes, I might say to avoid touch less car washes. Tried one out today and one of the water jets was SO powerful that it pressure washed one of my rear stripes to pieces. If I ever need to strip old paint, I’m taking it to this car wash.

It may be my fault that I didn’t get the vinyl down well enough? It is definitely my fault that I tried to get away sipping the hand wash.

I don’t blame StripeSource nor the VVIVID vinyl. But I am having anxiety about how long it may take me to get a replacement piece to redo it.


Just wanted to share to help others avoid my mistakes.

This is pretty much how I was thinking of doing my GT after I get it, with the possible addition of 1/4” pinstripes outboard of the skunk stripes.

If I was getting black, I wanted some color. The wife was onboard. So today, after getting my custom order from StripeSource.com, I have stripes.
My first time ever doing vinyl. So if you get close, it’s not perfect. But I’m pretty proud of my work and think my Mach-E now looks better than yours.
Black Mach-E, Red Calipers, Red Super Snake stripes. Maybe some black rims when it’s time to get some snow tires, but for now, I can rock this.

Love this! I have a black premium and now I want to have this done!
