Let me preface this with I’m fully aware how much temperature impacts range (30-40%) and how flawed the guess-o-meter is.
That being said, I’m still amazed by how much a difference it makes! When I got my Select standard battery eAWD at the beginning of April in Chicago where temps fluctuate between 30-60 throughout the month, I was maybe getting ~145 miles at 90% charge on the guess-o-meter.
Cut to this week where we finally got 70-90 degree weather and I’m ~200 at 90% charge on the ol’ guess-o-meter. What a difference it makes!
I’ll be heading on my first road trip in a couple weeks from Chicago to STL and excited to see how it performs. I have zero concerns with making it to the EA fast charger in Bloomington (~148 miles away) this time of year. Getting there in the winter, though, might be cutting it a little close to 0%.
