The command and control center on my 2021 select model crashed. After multiple attempts to reset the entertainment center. The screen would partially correct and then crash again. The following is the timeline of events:
1. I retur to my car from a lengthy walk with my trusty pal, named Lucy, in the forest along the Salmon River. I entered my vehicle when I was approached by an acquaintance who wanted to greet my golden doodle named Lucy. I opeNed the front driver side door without starting the vehicle and attempted to lower the rear window on the driver side, using the soft key on the door. After realizing that the vehicle was not turned on and the window would not retract , I immediately started the vehicle. At this time, I realized that the entertainment center had crashed. It only showed a partial Ford logo. After multiple attempts to reset the system, it repeated to partially boot up. Coincidentally when I attempted to open up the trunk using the Ford pass app I had to re-sign in as I was spontaneously signed out.
2. After returning home and recharging, the system the system still faulted Displaying intermittently that the volume control faulted.
3. After an overnight rest and restarting the next day, the problem with the entertainment center persisted.
4. After returning home from our daily constitutional, I made an appointment with the service department at Monaco Ford located in Glastonbury Connecticut. They informed me that the nearest appointment would be three weeks later. I asked them if it would be possible to supply me with a loaner since I am initiating radiation therapy for advanced prostate cancer. I would need transportation to and from the cancer treatment center located in Meriden Connecticut. They alternatively informed me that it would be another week after that that a loaner vehicle would be available. So obviously since the car was operational, I opted to accept the appointment with a loaner car on July 15.
5. The following morning, we decided to go on a family walk and ended up at the four corners store located in Hadlyme, Connecticut. While we were lounging on the front porch of the convenience store consuming our breakfast and since the temperature and humidity was rising I initiated the “fan” (climate) button on the Ford pass App. To my astonishment when we started our return home, the entertainment center came back from the dead. This really blew my mind.

In conclusion, my assessment is that there is a bug in the recent Ford pass update And/or the latest OTA update. This assessment is base only on anecdotal evidence since I have no experience with the creation and maintenance of the software provided in my vehicle. I would surely entertain your comments and thoughts going forward.. I would also like to hear from the Ford Motor Company representative. I would also say that driving this vehicle without the use of the entertainment center is like eating tofu. Yes the tofu will provide nutrition, but it’s no very rewarding for your culinary pleasure.
FordPass v5.21.0
OTA 10.1.1
Odometer 44,043.0 mi
Well, that’s all for now and I shall keep you informed if anything further develops.

I had the same thing happen after the latest OTA (which was supposed to enhance my sound quality). I called the Ford number (from the Ford Pass ap) and the technician instructed me to hit the down volume and the fast forward on the steering wheel at the same time for a few seconds and VOILA, it all returned to normal. My 12V was fully charged when I got the overnight OTA

I performed the reset multiple times with disappointment.
