If this uses a parking monitor or stays on all the time it is useless to us as it will drain the 12v battery on our vehicles. Must be able to shut off when vehicle is shut off.

I have a Viofo A229 Pro+ front/rear dash cam. I chose to hardwire it which auto-activates parking mode when the vehicle is off. The hardwire kit includes a module to select battery cut-off voltage (I have it set at 12.4V cut-off). But to preclude parking mode battery drain in instances where I don't need/want it where it could potentially cause 12V issues, such as when parked in my garage or other long-term parking situations, I also added a switch to manually turn it off. Reason I did all that is because I do want parking surveillance during short-term parking when I'm out and about, such as shopping, restaurants, shows, etc. I went even further, though, I also installed a BT 12V battery monitor so I can check battery voltage any time I'm within BT range. I did all this to get max dash cam benefit while minimizing 12V anxiety. ?

Edit: Most all dash cams nowadays, including this REDTIGER F77, have user-selectable parking mode. You can configure most all dash cams to shut off with the car if that's what you want.

If it's hardwired, the smart battery protection can be enabled. When the battery voltage reaches 11.8V during the parking mode, it will automatically turn off. Or, if you don't connect it by harwiring, or you harwire it but don't turn on the parking mode, it will shut off when you shut off your car.

11.8V is way too low for the cutoff and will cause problems with the Mach-E charging system and degrade the 12V battery. The user will experience a battery drain message. The cutoff must be set to 12.2V or higher.
