You other with problems, what iPhone do you have? Maybe it’s related to that somehow, as it seems those with latest iPhone has no issues.

One thing I’ve noticed with the new iOS and I’ve got the plane brand new iPhone 16 pro version and sometimes it sound working so instead of the regular little tweet you hear for text message you have to go and change it to the default Sound I think

Ok, I think this may be causing the problem. Per the screenshot attached Announce Messages is on, but underneath it states message announcement are currently silenced. Any ideas?

Well, ignore the above post. Went out to car this am and it is now working like it used to - all I did was toggle announce messages on/off. I have done that several times before but without success. Thanks for the ideas.

FWIW - I toggled the message setting sitting in the car.

I turned off apple intelligence and eVerything is back to normal
