Yeah, actually I too reported that, but the fact that we are unable to edit the one that already exists, there was what felt off. That is why you never saw me say about having 4 widgets. Apple/Ford with smart zoom turned off only has 3 widgets.
Regardless it’s a bug and it should be editable

This is a Ford forum. I am, therefore, required to ask, “Of what year?” ;)
I get the irony, but Apple’s fiscal year starts October 1, so since that will be FY’26 the OS versions are aptly named. And btw, Apple does software [updates] sooooooo much better than Ford. Love ya Ford, but just sayin’…

If it’s being released in September it’s iOS 25 then under their new numbering system. Plus Apple has had more than its share of delays in its software.

They might delay some promised functionality, but the major OS releases are always on time.

So this is confirmed still no pinch-to-zoom on Apple Maps?

For the life of me I do not understand this. It's far less safe and a nightmare of UX.
Pinch-to-zoom is hardware-specific. i.e., it's the screen. The best Apple can provide safely is that + or -. I agree that it's not ideal.

Same here, CarPlay and Apple refusing to pass API to third party apps made me try Android Auto. Now the iPhone 16PM sits in a drawer and I'm using the new Samsung S25 Edge. Soooo much better even for everyday tasks and Gemini is terrific.

Just ask Siri. I'm sure she can share some webpages on how good Gemini is (or maybe she can ask ChatGPT).
Apple is very particular about which APIs are available through CarPlay. It's all about safety.

Just telling you how the company works and what probably went into the naming of the OS since, by the release of OS26 there will be only one quarter of CY25 left. Apple’s been on time every year since 2008 with major iOS updates and regular dot releases, which is much more than I can say about Ford’s track record (for instance BC1.3 for 2021 MME owners). So, to say ‘more than its share of delays’ is not exactly fair.

Used car play maps today and it looks like we have the latest version from the pictures above, my wife and I like it. I do have a question though, we lost the maps audio, how do we get it back?
I have had that happen before. To unmute Apple Maps navigation in CarPlay, tap the speaker icon on the right side of the map screen. This will usually appear after you start navigation, and tapping it allows you to choose between muted, alerts only, or full spoken directions. You can also adjust the volume using the car's audio controls.
